Transcription

Mildred Johnson Gilchrist pictured in Dr. McClymonds waiting room. She worked as his receptionist during the winter of 1929. Her salary was $10.00 per week. She had a rented room with the Charles Spanglers and took her supper with them. Breakfast and lunch were eaten at the local restaurant. The left of the picture is to the south (front of the building). Note the red geraniums Mrs. McClymonds kept in the planter in the front of the window. The building is now (1985) part of the Walton State Bank.
