Description

This black and white photograph features a dozen or more children posing in a homemade school bus in Walton in 1916. Photo donated by Leto McClure. Written in ink on back of photo: "1916. Walton first school bus, built by Ed Berner. He got the wheeles (sic) somewhere else. He got the engine in Kansas City and the chassis somewhere else, and built the rest. In cold or hot weather he covered the kids with a tarp in cold or wet weather. Kenneth Davis standing in door."
