1935 1. We are happy to greet you this morning at this convocation, the first of its kind in the history of the Institution, called for the purpose of Recognition & Awards, and including all the several activities and groups on this campus 2. This morning we are meeting to give recognition to successful achievement in several lines of activity & to present awards therefor(sic) 3. We are happy in the successes that have come to these young people and congratulate them. If we are warranted in the assumption that one accomplishment becomes an asset to other accomplishments.4. then we may predict for those in whose honor we have met this morning, continued & enlarged achievements. 5. I take great pleasure in presenting the sponsors of various activities who in turn will present the individuals and give a brief statement of their achievements: Announcements: 1- According to previously printed announcements the year's work of this insittution will close at the conclusion of the Commencement Program at noon, next Monday, June 3_ Attendance of students is required until that time 2- Printed programs of commencement activities available for distribution at Registrar's office after noon tomorrow Thanks.
