Description
The black and white photo shows boys and girls dressed in marching band uniforms in the estimated 1990s. All the teenagers wear white gloves, bibbers, shako hats with plumes, and marching band jackets with light sleeve cuffs. The marching band jackets have an Indian chief head on the chest and arrowheads lining the outside of the chest. On the sleeve cuffs are the initials “HH.” All the students have instruments in their hands. There are trumpets, piccolos, clarinets, and flutes visible in the photo. Some students have flip folders holding their music. The band is outside on a field. The kids are likely performing at Lewis Field Stadium at Fort Hays State University, as a limestone wall is in the background. Behind the band, three members of the color guard hold their flags in the air.
