Abstract
Presented by the American Democracy Project January 30th Speakers: Darrel Hamlin - Co-Director of ADP, Associate Professor, Department of Communication Studies, Law, and Political Science Donette Noble: Director of Civic Learning and Engagement, Leadership Programs Professor Hsin-Yen Yang: Co-Director of ADP, Professor, Department Communication Studies, Law, and Political Science Civic Learning Kick-Off: The variety and tone of information citizens must navigate creates a need to focus on basic and necessary skills for democratic engagement. This talk will describe the work at FHSU to prepare students for participation with civic purpose and satisfaction. This talk will also introduce events and initiatives for the Spring semester to support the civic mission of Fort Hays State University.
