Description

A black and white photo of two men jacketing a fossil to get it ready for transport. Jacketing is the process of constructing a plaster bandage to cover the specimen. George Sternberg, right, has a canvas in his hands as the other man works on applying the plaster. They are both squatting on the ground on opposite sides of the fossil. A can of plaster is seen by George's hand. Other tools and bags are in the foreground. A white border surrounds the photo.
