This black and white photograph depicts the last camp of Sternberg and his colleagues. A man can be seen standing on the scow that sits just along a bank off the river. In the front left of the photo, a group of trees and branches can be seen. The right side shows a large outcropping in the distance. Between the man on the tented barge and the outcropping in the distance, the river lies. The water appears slightly rippled, but for the most part it is calm.
