A black and white photograph highlighting the cross-bedding stratification on the rock formations in the badlands in Red Deer, Canada. The cross bedding in this photograph can be seen in the diagonal layers on the formations. The formations in this photograph are filled with contrasting colors. The front of the photo shows plenty of plant life, mostly shrub brush.
