Description
A black-and-white photo of the team resting on the trail. At the bottom right of the photo is the opening of the stratified excavation site. Plenty of large white rocks and supplies are clustered at the entrance of the quarry. Toward the middle of the photo, Sternberg's team of four horses and three men are resting with their wagon of fossil specimens on a steep path. One of Sternberg's colleagues is behind the back wheel of the wagon, the second man is standing on a wagon, and the third is standing next to the black horse. Buttes are surrounding the team and the trail.
