Photos by H. B. 1909 ; Harvey Bassler fishing in Platte River in Rocky Moutains [sic] 1909 ; Yours truly in the lead on the march upon the great snowfield the magnitude of which could never be guessed from below, note innumerable little snow balls rolling down the slope from our backs. ; The Last Hug, Oct 18- 1911 (Colo.) ; Taken from car window in northern Utah. Wasatch range, note Morman [sic] ranches at 1 (far left central) and again at 2 (left central) are old lake beaches which have been braced by Gilbert for hundreds of miles determining the glacial point. ; This is were we were snowed up Aug. 5 with an 8 inch snowfall in what I called 'Fair weather pass' at the head of Carnes creek. Picture was taken after the snow had disappeared so we could take up the march. Small silk tent in the foreground.
