Description

This black and white photograph features a portrait of a Black man named Grant Bowen - he is wearing a suit and is standing by a table that has diploma on it / It is possible that this Black man's name is actually Ulysses Bowen (see 1986-44-1097), and there is a Ulysses Bowen listed in the census records, but there is not a Grant Bowen listed. We are going by the name as it was input into the ledger by Mr. Gray. Stanton, Ulysses / Grant Bowen ordered the photograph.
