Artist's Statement
This Crayola Crayon Lightswitch Cover was sculpted and cast in aluminum as part of a 3-D design class, combining playful nostalgia with durable material to reflect the lasting impact of creativity. Inspired by my future role as an art teacher, I designed this piece as a functional yet personal classroom object—a daily reminder of the joy and imagination that art brings. By transforming a simple, everyday item into a whimsical, crayon-shaped sculpture, I aimed to create something that sparks curiosity and warmth in a creative space for students.
