Artist's Statement
I found objects that represented a musical in some way - whether it had the name of a musical on it or reminded me of a prop or set piece - and combined them in a still life. I arranged them to look like a scene on a stage. The ribbon leads the viewer through the scene, tying the objects together, since the spacing of the objects separates them, showing that they each represent a different musical.
