Artist's Statement
My self portrait made me reflect on what I truly look like, as I meticulously captured the nuances in my face everything from my chin dimple, to the different textures of my face. Capturing the dark environment was my main goal for this piece and to have a wide range of values. This artwork opened my eyes and made me appreciate what makes me, me.
