Artist's Statement
Cold Blooded Luxury explores humanity's obsession with leather, particularly reptilian skins, and the ethical implications surrounding it. This collagraph print examines the strain between nature and the alteration of its creatures, reflecting the disconnect between luxury and its hidden cost. Through surreal and contrasting tactile and visual elements, the piece encourages viewers to consider the price of luxury while sparking the thought of sustainability and alternatives in fashion.
