Artist's Statement
A ceramic sea shell holding a cat and her kitten. I grew up a few hours from the Oregon coast, giving me a love for the beach which flowed over into this piece. College can also be lonely... there aren't a lot of opportunities for hugs from Mom right now, and I feel it. This piece celebrates cats, motherhood, and the fleeting moments we have with our families; also, the hope for future hugs!
