For Release February 20, 1962 NASA Photo No. 62-MA6-140A Cape Canaveral, Fla. - Astronaut John Glenn relaxes aboard the USS Noa after being recovered from the Atlantic near Grand Turk, Island. His three-orbit mission around the earth(sic) traveling at 17,500 MPH ended successfully. The Noa picked him up 21 minutes after impact.
