Description

This color photograph features Newton in March 1964. The image depicts a man standing on a stained-glass window that has been removed from the First Presbyterian Church, 800 North Main, and placed in a truck bed. He is securing the window with ropes. Buildings in the background, left to right: First Methodist Church, law office of Speir, Stroberg & Sizemore (1-story), and Parsons Apartment building (3-story). Image is low-quality because it is only a photo of a projected slide image, not a print from the slide.
