Description

This color photograph features the Harvey County Fair parade in Newton in 1965. A boy is sitting on a replica of a horse made from tires which is being pulled by a small garden tractor. A crowd of people are watching from the side of the street. Businesses in background, left to right: J. C. Penney, Graves Drug Store, and Cunningham's. Graffiti numbers (57) at top of facade of Graves Drug Store building were created by a few members of the Newton High School Class of 1957.
