This color photograph features a Christmas parade in Newton in 1980. A nativity scene is displayed on a float that is being pulled south on Main Street. The float is being pulled by a pickup. A sign stating "Celebrate the Birthday of Christ" is on the side. Boys and girls are in the pickup bed and on the float. Antique automobiles are following behind the float Businesses in the background, left to right: Chuck House Restaurant - 211 N. Main, and Petersen Funeral Home - 215 N. Main.
