Riverside Park Site of the Harvey County Old Settlers Picnic First picnic held here in 1896 The Harvey County Old Settlers Picnic Association was formed in 1888 The first few picnics were held in the John Pierce Grove, one half mile east of here. Some of the scenes in the Columbia Motion Picture Picnic" were filmed here in 1956. Plaque Courtesy of the Harvey County Historical Society 1977
