Halstead. 1974. Old Settlers' Day parade. A car pulling a float. Sign on car reads:"Irv Schroder Chevy Olds [illegible], Kansas." On the float: an oversized loaf of bread, a globe, and display of wheat. Signs on float: "Turkey Red Wheat Centennial 1874-1974." Threshing Stone - Symbol of the Role of Mennonites including B. Warkentin." Signs on business buildings in background: "Budweiser" and "Peoples Cash Grocery."
