Description
This black and white photograph features an image from the Nicholson Family Collection in Newton in 1900. The portrait features a casual photo of a small family group in an outdoor setting. A man is sitting on a chair that is resting on a carpet spread on the grass. A small child sits on his knee. Another child is sitting in a small chair directly in front of the man. Also in the group photo are two women and a little girl. The man is wearing a suit, the children are wearing white outfits, and the women are wearing dresses. They are outside and another woman is behind them with her back to the camera. Written in ink on back of photo: "Chas. Nicholson & family & [not legible] & Mary 9/2/00." Little girl at far left is Mary Morse Nicholson, daughter of John C. Nicholson.
