Description

This black and white photograph features Camp Hawk in rural Newton on Southwest Thirty-sixth in 1960. About two dozen men and women (senior citizens) are having a picnic at Camp Hawk. A few folks are standing. Most are sitting at a picnic table. A car and a pick-up truck are visible in the background. Also in the background is a small shed-type building with lettering on the side reading "Snack Shack."
