Description

This black and white photograph features the town of Burrton in 1920. An Arkansas Valley Interurban (AVI) railway car is visible on the tracks in the distance center right in the photo. Also visible in photo are dirt roads and numerous electric-line poles. In the far left background are grain elevators and other business buildings. Typed label on back of photo reads: "This photograph made by me Feb. 2, 1920 between 3:30 and 4:15 P. M. at the Arkansas Valley Interurban Ry. crossing at Main Street, Burrton. Looking east from about the center of Main St. 56 ft. south of the center of the Interurban track showing Interurban Car on track 365 ft. East of the center of Main St. Homer T. Harden. Photographer."
