This black and white photograph features students at Gem School, a Harvey County rural school. 1949-1950. Five boys and six girls stand by the school. Back row, left to right: James Chapple, Kenneth Miller, Hazel Chapple, Marcella Quiring, Joy Foster, Ivan Schirer. Front row: Clyde Young, Edwina Foster, Jimmy Stein, Becky Foster, Dorothy Young. The teacher was Laura Branson and the cook was Ima Foster.
