Mrs. Martha A. Dirks taught library science classes at Fort Hays State University from 1969 to 1992. Her papers are housed in four document boxes and date from 1952 to 1992; with one folder containing facsimiles of historical documents dating from 1620 to 1946. These papers are comprised mainly of course materials from library science classes taught by Mrs. Dirks at Fort Hays State University, and accreditation materials from the National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (N.C.A.T.E.) and Kansas Department of Education.
