Description

A photograph of a watercolor painting by artist Mabel Vandiver, former chair of the Fort Hays State University Art Department. This piece shows a desert filled with red plateaus and mountain ranges. Behind the mountains is vibrant blue sky where clouds float by, passing the bright yellow sun. At the bottom of the vast mountain range lies a beautiful and flowing body of water, giving life to plants and animals that survive within this area.
