A watercolor painting of about a dozen factories on the waterfront. The factories are depicted in detail, but other elements are concisely expressed with thick strokes. Some of the factories have a flat roof, and others have a steep roof. Chimneys of the factories are mostly long but their widths vary. Two or three of the chimneys are rolling up white smoke. Gray rocky mountains are right behind the factories. A turquoise-colored ocean is behind the mountains. There are other blurry mountains in the background.
